One look for everyone

Every person looks natural and likeable, and yet in the end all images fit together.

I am Sebastian Schüler, and since 2007 I have been photographing business portraits and employee headshots for companies at Arthouse Studio in Frankfurt-Bockenheim, for clients including the ECB, Allianz and Merck. The goal is a consistent look for your website, LinkedIn, intranet and press.

For team shoots, a smooth process is what matters most: each person takes only a few minutes, and your team's working day is hardly interrupted.

On-site process

How your team shoot works

So that many employees can be photographed in one day without it getting hectic, I plan the process with you in advance. That way, everyone knows when it is their turn, and your team loses hardly any working time.

01

Preparation and look

In advance, we agree the date, schedule and look: background, crop and style, in line with your corporate design. You receive tips on clothing and preparation for your team, more in the guide Outfit for the business photo shoot (in German).

02

Setting up the mobile studio

I need a room of about 4 x 4 metres and a power socket. A meeting room is perfectly sufficient in most cases. I bring the lighting and background.

03

The shoot

I plan 5 to 15 minutes per person. I give clear, relaxed directions on posture and expression, including for anyone who feels rather uncomfortable in front of the camera.

04

Selection and delivery

You receive an online gallery. The selection is made by the employees themselves or by your marketing team. The images are retouched naturally and prepared for website, social media and print.

Backgrounds

Backgrounds and looks for your team

Which background is right depends on where the images will appear later. I am happy to advise you in advance and show you examples.

Grey, white or black

Classic studio backgrounds for a calm, timeless look that works on any website and in any email signature.

02

Your company colour

A background in the colour of your corporate design, so the portraits belong to your brand at first glance.

03

Your office and your architecture

Portraits in your own premises show where and how your team works, with deliberately placed lighting rather than whatever light happens to be there.

Consistent look

New to the team?
Same look.

When new employees join later, I photograph them with the same settings: in the studio in Frankfurt-Bockenheim or at the next session at your premises. That way, your team page stays consistent for years without you having to photograph the whole team again each time.

Employee photos and data protection

Employee photos are personal data. To publish them on your website, LinkedIn or intranet, you generally need the consent of the people shown. It is best to clarify this internally before the shoot, for example with your HR department or your data protection officer. This is not legal advice, just a practical tip.

Extras for your team shoot

On request, you can add hair & make-up. And if your team would like to learn how to take better pictures themselves, there are my photo workshops and coaching for companies (in German).

More than portraits

For reportage from everyday working life and images for the annual report, take a look at my page Corporate Photography (in German). You will find portraits for boards and management under Executive Portraits, and an overview of all styles under Business Headshots.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about team headshots

How many employees can you photograph in one day?

On a typical day, I photograph around 20 employees. With good planning, up to 50 people in one day are possible.

How long does the shoot take per person?

I plan 5 to 15 minutes per person, depending on whether just a headshot or several variations are needed.

How much space does the mobile studio need?

I need a room of about 4 x 4 metres and a power socket. A meeting room is sufficient in most cases.

Who selects the images?

After the shoot, you receive an online gallery. The selection is made by the employees themselves or by your marketing team, whichever works best for your company.

When will we receive the finished employee headshots?

Usually 3 to 5 working days after your selection. If it needs to be quick, Same Day Delivery is also possible on request.

Can you photograph new employees later in the same look?

Yes. I photograph new colleagues with the same settings, in the studio in Frankfurt-Bockenheim or at the next session at your premises.

Do you also take group photos of the whole team?

Yes. In addition to individual portraits, I also take group photos of departments or the whole team on request. More on my page Corporate Photography (in German).

How much do employee headshots cost?

That depends on the number of people, the location and the number of images. You receive an individual quote, after a short phone call if you wish.
